Easily and quickly adjustable. 3 8” clearance holes permit quick removal of rain soaked and swollen wood panels from the anchors. For optimal performance, pilot holes for anchors should be a minimum of 2” from the edge of masonry concrete openings to be covered. Anchors should be installed at 12” on center for 5 8” plywood. For masonry concrete applications, drill hole 1 4” deeper than anchor will be installed.

Hurricane Shutters

We started putting up the shutters today in preparation for Wilma. These are unorthodox "shutters" but they came with the house. Not much high wind protection, but they will at least keep flying debris from coming in contact with the windows.

This is the preliminary setup, we’ll tighten them tomorrow.

Fallen Hurricane Shutter

I guess the neighbors didn’t put their shutters on 100% perfectly, because the hurricane blew several of them off. This one landed in another neighbor’s yard.
